A free, personal AI chat assistant built in India.

Dhairya GPT is a simple, fast chat assistant that you can use in your browser or as an Android app. It is built and maintained by Dhairya as a personal project, and it is free to use. You don't need an account: open the site, accept the terms, and start asking.

What you can do with it

• Ask questions and learn. Get plain-language explanations of school, college and everyday topics.
• Write and edit. Draft emails, letters, essays, posts and summaries, in English, Hindi or Hinglish.
• Work with code. Explain, write and debug code in many languages.
• Ask about your files. Attach a PDF, Word document, text, CSV or code file and ask for a summary or answers from it.
• Make it yours. Add custom instructions, switch between dark and light mode, and keep several conversations.
• Take a break. Game mode opens a Subway Surfers gameplay video, or a small endless runner, next to the chat while you wait.

How it works

Your message is sent securely through our server to an open-source AI language model run by a third-party provider, and the answer is streamed back to you. Your chat history stays in your own browser, not on our servers. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. To keep it free, there are fair-use message limits per person each day, and ads may be shown.

Are my chats private?

Chats are saved only on your device. Messages are processed by AI providers to generate replies, so please never share passwords, Aadhaar, PAN or bank details.

Can the AI be wrong?

Yes. It can make mistakes, miss recent events and sound confident when it is wrong. Check important information, and ask a qualified professional about health, legal or money decisions.

Which files can I upload?

Text-based PDFs, Word (.docx), and plain text, CSV, JSON and code files, up to three per message. Scanned PDFs and images are not supported.

Why did I get a limit message?

Each person can send a limited number of messages per minute and per day, and the site has an overall daily limit. Limits reset every day at midnight India time.
